Martha Sue Smith

Martha Sue Smith, 62, of Salem, VA passed away Monday, April 4, 2016. She was born July 20, 1953 in West Virginia daughter of the late William and Mildred Mitchum Williams. Martha Sue is survived by her loving husband, Daniel Joseph Smith; children, Joseph Adam Smith and Erin Nicole Clingenpeel and her husband, Mike; sisters, Judith Ann Williams and Regina Ryan; three grandchildren, Jamie Moore, Kaitlin Moore and Chloe Clingenpeel; two great-grandchildren, Mason and Reagan; and a number of nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank all of their friends and neighbors for their love and support and, especially, Barbara Long for taking special care of Martha Sue. Memorial services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Friday, April 8, 2016 at the chapel of John M. Oakey and Son, Salem with Rev. Dan Carawan officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.Interment Location
