Martha Jane Pierce

Martha J. Pierce Martha Jane Pierce, 59, of Salem, passed away Tuesday, October 29, 2013. She was born in Salem, a daughter of the late Ella Trail Lemon and William Clayton Lemon and had been an area resident all of her life. She was a self employed caregiver, enjoyed going to yard sales, watching soaps and cooking out, but mostly loved being with her family and friends. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her husband, David W. Pierce, Sr. who died in 2002. Along with her father, she is survived by her two loving sons, David W. Pierce, Jr. and his wife Christie, and Issac Pierce and his wife Judy. She is also survived by a brother, William Lemon, Jr. and his wife Donna; two sisters, Libby Walters and her husband John; Patsy Radford and her husband Bill, and three adoring grandchildren, Damian, Kodi and Chasity Pierce. A graveside service will be held at 11Am, Saturday, November 2, 2013 at Sherwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8PM, Friday at John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home, Salem.
