Marlene June Minucie Martin

Marlene June Minucie Martin, 74, of Glade Hill, passed away Tuesday December 14, 2010. She was born in Franklin County, a daughter of the late Charles A. and Nora Bell Wright Minucie and had also resided in the Salem area prior to locating to Glade Hill eleven years ago. She enjoyed baking, arts and crafts, playing volleyball and loved to play Bookworm. Mostly she loved and enjoyed spending time with her family. She was a member of Glade Hill Baptist Church. She is survived by her loving husband of over 53 years, Roscoe Rock Martin; two sons, Kenneth David Martin and his wife Joyce; Timothy Martin and his wife Susan; a daughter, Michele Martin; one brother, Charles A. Minucie and his wife Debbie; five sisters, Janet Reynolds, Clara Saunders, Frances Hatcher and her husband Donnie; Violet Agee and her husband Ronnie; Brenda Wainwright and her husband Taylor; ten grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 3PM, Sunday, December 19, 2010 at John M. Oakey and Son Chapel. Her brother, Rev. Charles A. Minucie and Rev. David Long will officiate. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Private burial will take place at a later date at Glade Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.
