Marlee Dawn Rickman-Lilly

Marlee Dawn Rickman-Lilly (Mar-Mar, Marlee Bug or Marlee Bob), 3 of Roanoke, passed away on Wednesday, March 25, 2015. Marlee was a very loving and funloving child. She was very energetic and enjoyed numerous activities inside and outside the house. Some of her favorite activities included: painting pretty pictures; playing dress up and being pampered like a princess, collecting marbles, pebbles, coins and keys; playing with her babies (dolls and kitty); getting piggy back rides; and loved having her finger and toe nails painted. She loved her time in the kitchen cooking with mommy, and going to dads house to play with Kyle and Jaden was certainly a must any chance she had! Being outside and making sandcastles with Kamron was also a favorite pastime for Marlee and she simply loved her butterflies! Marlee was an adorable child who lit the room up everywhere she went. She will be missed and will forever live in our hearts until we see her again! Preceding her in death includes her great-grandparents, Anna B. Winfrey, and her uncle, Steven Winfrey. Family remaining to cherish her memory includes her parents, Anna Rickman and Austin Lilly; her siblings, Alexander S. Rickman, Jaden Lilly and Kyle Lilly; granny, Julie Ann Winfrey; papaw, Marcus (Doc) Herrington; grandparents, Wendy (Whammy) Lilly and Jackey Lee (Pa) Lilly; great-grandparents, Jackey Lilly and Vera Lilly; Aunts and Uncles, Christina Winfrey, Justin Lilly, Jay Lilly and wife, Jen, Amber Pack; cousins, Kolten Meyer, Summer and Maximus Hill, Haylee Lilly and Kamron Winfrey; and a special friend, Robert (Bo) Link. The family will receive friends on Monday, March 30, 2015 from 12 until 2 p.m. at John M. Oakey & Son funeral home in Salem. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Monday in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in Sherwood Memorial Park in Salem.
