On July 8, 2020, Mark Douglas Hancock (age 69) of Salem, Virginia, went to be with his Lord. Mark was a loving husband, father, and grandfather, and a longtime member of Salem Baptist Church of Salem, Virginia. He served as a commercial loan officer for Valley Bank and First Virginia Bank. He also served as former CEO of Valley Motorsports in Roanoke, Virginia. Mark helped found the British Automobile Club of Southwest Virginia and was known as a longtime collector and enthusiast of British cars.
Mark was predeceased by his parents, Gordon P. and Kathleen B. Hancock, Jr., of Salem, Virginia. Left to cherish Marks memory are his loving wife Rebecca Becky Webb Hancock; son Jeff Hancock; granddaughters Zora and Hazel Hancock; brother Gordon Gordie P. Hancock, III; uncle and aunt Preston and Tonya Hancock; numerous cousins; cherished sister-in-law Jane W. Snyder (Russell Snyder); and brother-in-law Fred Webb (Susan Webb).
