Marilyn Ann McCauley, 78, of Salem, passed into the presence of the Lord on Friday, April 26, 2013. She was born in Scranton, PA, a daughter of the late Roger King McCauley and Thelma Louise Canterbury McCauley and had been an area resident since 1955. She was a special education teachers aide with the Roanoke County School System for many years, taught piano lessons at her home, and also served as church secretary at Grace Baptist Church, where she was a charter member. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Ruth Mincey. She is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, John W. Bill McCauley; a son Kenneth David McCauley and his wife Carla; her daughter, Cheryl Campbell and her husband Ronnie; six grandchildren, Jessica Webb and her husband Billy, David McCauley, Kenneth McCauley, Brian Campbell, Kevin Campbell and his wife Michelle, and Scott Campbell, as well as a great-grandson, Easton Campbell. Funeral services will be held at 2PM, Monday, April 29, 2013 at Grace Baptist Church, 1527 Gilford Ave. Roanoke. The Rev Dale Mullinix will officiate. Burial will follow at Sherwood Memorial Park.
