Margaret Earle Thomasson

Margaret Earle Thomasson, 92 of Roanoke, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 10, 2011. Mrs. Thomasson was born in Roanoke on April 15, 1919 to the late Robert & Earle Hughson. She was a long time member of Preston Oaks Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herman Hank Thomasson; eight brothers and sisters. She is survived by her son, Terry & wife Deborah Thomasson; daughter, Debra Higgins; grandchildren, Kellie & Patrick Higgins; a special caregiver & best friend, Lois Lynch; special cat, Lacy; many nieces and nephews also survive. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 12, 2011 from 6 8 p.m. at John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home. A private graveside service will be conducted on Wednesday.
