It is with deep love and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Lynn Ann (Bellomy) Rausch, who went to be with the Lord, surrounded by family, on March 1, 2026, at the age of 72.

Born on August 15, 1953, in Columbus, Ohio. Lynn was the beloved daughter of Paul Edward and Betty Frances (Thompson) Bellomy. She grew up in Columbus and graduated from South High School in 1971.

On November 5, 1971, she married John Howard Rausch, and together they built a marriage rooted in Christ and Commitment.

Lynn was a loving mother to Michael and Megan; her sweet disposition and kindness guided our lives. She was known for always thinking about and praying for others.

She retired from Campbellsville University as a switchboard operator. She loved flowers and gardening, cooking, baking, decorating the home, singing, painting, and serving in ministries in her church. Some of her greatest joys came from her grandchildren.

Her faith in Christ was the foundation of her life. She was a member of First Baptist of New Bern, NC, where she served in ministry.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Betty Bellomy, father-in-law, and mother-in-law, Richard and Jean Rausch.

She is survived by her husband, John Rausch, her children, Michael (Wendy) Rausch, Megan (Doug) Price; grandchildren, Emma and Jack Price, Janie and Gracie Rausch; sister, Pam (Otto) Tennant; sister-in-law, Diana (Steve) Martin, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.

A service will be held in memory of Lynn at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, March 6, 2026, in the chapel of John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home in Salem. Friends are welcome for a period of visitation beginning one hour prior to the service.

Flowers are welcome. If you would like to donate in the Memory of Lynn Ann Rausch, please consider donating to Gentle Shepherd Hospice. https://gentleshepherdhospice.com/donate/

Though we grieve her absence, we rejoice in the promise of eternal life and take comfort in knowing she now rests in the presence of her savior. As scripture reminds us:

“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.”  -2 Timothy 4:7

Her legacy of love and faith will live on through her family for generations to come.
