Luther Harold Crawford

Luther Harold Crawford, 87, of Salem, Va., and formerly of Kingsport, Tenn., died peacefully on Tuesday, November 2, 2021. Luther was a Korean War Veteran having served in the U.S. Army. He was a member of the Kazim Shriners, and was a truck driver professionally. His hobbies included golf and NASCAR racing. He loved Ford trucks. Preceding him in death were his parents, John and Pearl Crawford; wife of 60 years, Bess Crawford; and son, Mitch Crawford. His surviving family includes his daughter, Lisa Engelke and her husband, Karl; one he loved like a grandson, Karson Krsul; and siblings, Thomas Crawford, Geraldine Scalf, and Joyce McMurray. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, November 6, 2021, at the John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home in Salem, Va.
