Luana June Craig Poff, 67, of Salem, passed away Monday, November 11, 2013.
She was born in Roanoke on October 7, 1946 and was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and June Owen Craig. She retired from the City of Salem, Human Resources Department, with over twenty-five years of service.
She is survived by her husband, Joe Poff, and their son and daughter-in-law, Jared and Christin Poff. She had two beautiful grandchildren, Scarlett June and Mitchell Grady Poff.
She is also survived by her brothers, Dallas Craig and wife Trish, David Craig and wife Sharon, and Eddie Craig; and her sister, Nancy Jo Blevins.
She was predeceased by her mother-in-law, Rachel Poff and is survived by brothers-in-law, Don Poff and wife Sharon, Terry Poff and sister-in-law, Julie Duffy.
Luana is also survived by special cousin Sharon Miller and her husband Jerry; very special friends Dianne Maxey, and Carolyn and Terry Hall; several other cousins, nieces and nephews, and many of Jareds friends that she considered to be her children as well.
Funeral services will be held at 2PM, Thursday, November 14, 2013 at the Chapel of John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home, Salem. The Revs. Terry Hall and Susan Bentley will officiate. Burial will follow at Evergreen Burial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM, Wednesday at the funeral home.
