Louise Mills Crotts

Louise Mills Crotts, 88, of Salem, VA passed away Friday, October 14, 2011. She was born November 26, 1922 in Salem, VA daughter of the late Chester and Lilly Bradley Mills. She was also preceded in death by her husband, H. Clifford Crotts, Sr.; children, Richard Wayne Crotts and Diana Crotts Helm; grandson, Jody Crotts; brothers, Howard (Nig) Mills, Paul Mills, Ray Mills; sisters, Edna Bushnell, Grace Counts and Juanita Guthrie. Mrs. Crotts was a life long resident to Salem, a member of Salem Baptist Church where she was former Sunday school teacher and was the administrator of the family business for many years, Crotts Heating and Air Conditioning. She is survived by her son, H. C. Crotts, Jr. and wife Donna; grandsons, Todd Crotts and wife Katie and Petey Huffman and wife, Lori; four great-grandchildren, Brady, Lacey, Delaney and Iris; brother-in-law, A. J. Cooney Counts; sister-in-law, Elizabeth Booty Mills; a number of nieces and nephews; and special friends, David Bell and Allison Crotts. Funeral services will be conducted at 10 am Tuesday, October 18, 2011 at the chapel of John M. Oakey and Son, Salem with Rev. Everett Kier officiating. Interment will follow at Sherwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6 to 8 pm at John M. Oakey and Son, Salem. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to Salem Baptist Church. The family would like to thank Snyder Nursing Home and their staff for the loving care given to Mrs. Crotts. Uncle Cooney when you leave will you please cut the lights out
