Loria Ann Lori Schoonover, 60, of Roanoke, Virginia, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, March 24, 2023. Born on March 25, 1962, to Mary Ann Greenway and the late Frank Richard Carroll, she is also preceded in death by her grandparents, James Keaton and Verna Mae Hall, and Marvin and Fannie Carroll; husband, David Lee Schoonover, and daughter, Jessica Diane Kesler. Lori was always trustworthy and a loyal, hard worker. She loved spending time with her family and especially enjoyed cooking. She was a kind-hearted soul who would do whatever she could to help anyone who had a need. Her radio dial was usually tuned in to a local country music station. Above all, she adored her children, grandchildren, and the newest great-grandchild; they were truly the light of her life! Those left to cherish her memory are her mother, Mary Ann Greenway; daughter, Trina Turner; sisters, Sherry Hall and Courtney Greenway; grandchildren, Nathaniel Turner, Christian Turner, Hannah Turner, Hailey Franks (Jay), and Olivia McGuinn; great grandson, Asher Kesler; special friend, Tim Peters, as well as many cousins and friends. Family and friends will gather at Martin Memorial Cemetery, located on Singing Hills Road, in the Clearbrook section of Roanoke County, at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 22, 2023 for a graveside service.
