Lonnie "Lonzo" Victor Brizendine

Lonnie “Lonzo” Victor Brizendine passed away peacefully in his home on December 18th, 2025, with Tami by his side.

Lonnie was a loving, devoted son, brother, father, uncle, grandfather, great-grandfather, and partner. He was a dedicated employee who retired from a longstanding career with Craig-Botetourt Electric Cooperative. Lonnie was a funny storyteller with a laugh that could fill a room; he was also deeply protective of his family and a source of quiet wisdom.

Lonnie is preceded in death by his father, Lloyd Brizendine; his wife, Josephine “Jody” Brizendine; his son-in-law, Eddie Meadows; and his granddaughter, Carleigh Taylor.

Lonnie is survived by his mother, Carole Brizendine; siblings, Mickey, Kim, and Dennis; daughters, Angie and Alli; stepdaughters, Suzanne and Lisa; grandchildren, Page and Christopher, Savannah and Andrew, Garrett, Victor, Malachi, Lilly, Sara, Amanda, Trevor, Whitney, Brenden, and Isaac; and great-granddaughter, Parker, who was not only his joy but also his best friend; nieces and nephews, Matt and Jessica (Harley), Olivia, Jesse and Danielle, Levi and Meredith (Astoria), Lacy and Sherman (Sienna), Miranda and Wyatt (Addison and Layla), Calab and Morgan (Huksley), Hunter and Scarlett; special companion, Tami Estep; and many other special relatives and friends.

A Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday, December 27th, at Grace Baptist Church in New Castle, Va. Interment will follow at Craig Healing Springs Christian Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 2:00 - 3:00 PM.
