Lloyd E. Fleming, 93, of Salem, passed away Wednesday, July 25, 2012.
He was born in Florida and had also resided in New York prior to moving to the Salem area over 58 years ago. He served in the United States Army during WWII and was a long time member of Salem Presbyterian Church. He was the owner and operator of Farmington Apartments for many years prior to retirement.
He is survived by his wife, Willie Mae Giddings Fleming; two daughters, Pamela Fleming and Deborah Fleming Taggart and her husband John; a son, Tracy Fleming and his wife Katie, as well as two grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11AM, Tuesday, July 31, 2012 at the Salem Presbyterian Church. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Red Cross, PO Box 4002018, Des Moines, IA 50340-2018.
