Linda A. Paitsel, 67, of Salem, left this world on Thursday, October 16, 2014, to go and join her son and other loving family in Heaven. She was born in Salem, a daughter of the late Raymond and Frances Carroll Roop and had been an area resident all of her life. She was employed as a bookkeeper with Peacock Cleaners in Salem for over 35 years prior to retiring and enjoyed reading and working in her flower gardens. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son Kenneth J. Paitsel, Jr., who died in 2006, and a brother, Donnie Roop. She is survived by her loving husband of over 50 years, Kenneth J. Paitsel, Sr.; a daughter, Lynn Paitsel Young and her husband Scott; two grandchildren, Krystal Paitsel and K.J. Paitsel and his fiance Kelly Dyson; two brothers, Gary and Tony Roop; her sister, Bonnie Jenkins and her husband Carl; seven sisters-in law and their families, and a very special friend, Amy Boggs, who was Kenneth Jrs fiance and like a second daughter to Linda. Funeral services will be held at 3PM, Monday, October 20, 2014 at the Chapel of John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home, Salem. Burial will follow at Sherwood Memorial Park.
