Lillian Lambert Harrison

Lillian Lambert Harrison, 93 of Salem, Virginia, passed away surrounded by her family on Sunday, January 18, 2026.

Born on Wednesday, April 27, 1932, in McDowell County, West Virginia, to the late George Irvin Lambert and Wancy Mae Sells Lambert.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by the love of her life and husband for 79 years, Willard Worth Harrison. The love they shared for one another felt like a beautiful fairytale, truly a heartwarming connection that many dream of finding. Also preceding her in death are her sons, Terry Harrison (Sarah), Richard Harrison, and Roger Harrison (Nancy).

Lillian retired from Roanoke County schools after 30-plus years. Many knew her as a wonderful baker, and many generations enjoyed her delicious rolls.

She loved spending her time painting ceramics, a hobby that brought her great joy. However, family was her top priority; she was the glue that held everyone together. Through her love, discipline, and guidance, she managed to keep the family united.

Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Willard “Red” Harrison (Donna), Linda Harrison Ramsey (Ken), and Jimmy Harrison (Kathy); grandchildren, Tammy, Teresa, Dawn, Charles, James, Angela, April, Kenny, Lee, Ben, Jennifer, and Josh.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 22, 2026, at the chapel of John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home in Salem, Virginia, with Hilton Jeffreys officiating. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Interment will follow the service at Cedar Lawn Memorial Park located in Roanoke, VA.
