Lewis Wayne Crossgrove

Lewis Wayne Crossgrove, 78, of Elliston, Virginia, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 23, 2023. Born in Lynchburg, Virginia, on May 18, 1945, to the late Willard Wayne and Alice Woodson Crossgrove, he grew up in Roanoke, graduated from Patrick Henry High School and attended Ferrum College. Wayne had attended Trinity United Methodist Church in Roanoke, Va., since he was a young child and he looked forward to going to youth camp and other events at Camp Alta Mons. He loved his church family. Wayne enjoyed science fiction and especially enjoyed watching Star Trek. Retired from both the City of Salem Utility Department and Walmart, he greatly enjoyed the companionship of his cats and his special neighbor, Tina. Wayne is survived by his sister, Phyllis Crossgrove Reed and her family as well as his special friend and neighbor, Tina Treadway. Per Waynes wishes, there will be no services.
