Lester Fred Mitchell Lester Fred Mitchell, 61, of Boones Mill, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 10, 2014. He was born in Norfolk, the son of the late Dewey E. and Elsie Ponton Mitchell and had been an area resident most of his life. Lester was employed as a route salesman for over 30 years for Coca-Cola, PepsiCo and Frito-Lay prior to retiring, and enjoyed hanging out with his friends and dogs. He is survived by his former spouse of 40 years, Diana Mitchell; a son, Bryan Mitchell; his daughter, Nicole Handrahan; four grandchildren, Kirsten Mitchell and Haylee, Mara and Lila Handrahan; a brother, Richard Mitchell and his wife Sonnie; one niece, Laura Mitchell, and his beloved dogs, Dexter and Darby.
