Larry Eugene Williams

Larry Eugene Williams, 56, of Salem, VA passed away Tuesday, December 06, 2011. He was born in Roanoke on January 19, 1955 son of the late Marvin and Esther Roop Williams. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Marvin Williams, Jr. Larrys contagious humor and desire to help others will be sadly missed. He was a painter for Simmons Painting Company. He is survived by four sisters, Cathy Woodring and husband, Steve, Peggy Smith and Denny, Jo Ann Thompson and husband, Randy and Tina Creighton and husband, Bill; girlfriend and life partner, Benjie Tubbs; four nieces; two great nieces; two great nephews; loving canine companion, Wilson; and many special friends. Memorial services will be conducted at 4 pm Friday, December 9, 2011 at the chapel of John M. Oakey and Son Funeral Home and Crematory with Rev. Aaron Lee officiating. The family will receive friends following the service until 7 pm.
