Larry Tyler Pugh, Poo and Opie, 51, of Thaxton, Virginia, was taken from us too soon on Wednesday, September 22, 2021.
He was employed as a truck driver with NTW for many years and enjoyed watching the Dallas Cowboys and riding motorcycles. Larry was a loving and caring husband, father, and grandfather, who was always ready to lend a helping hand to others.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Joyce C Lee; father, Donald T. Pugh; stepfather, Samuel L. Mallury, Jr., stepdad, James E. Watson; as well as a grandson, River Martin Anderson.
He is survived by his mother, Sandra U. Watson; stepdad, Burton A. Blankenship; wife, Flora Rachel Pugh; children, Samuel J.T. Pugh and wife, Sierra, Steven E.L. Pugh and fiance, Emily Thornton, Derek M.W. Pugh, and Dustin A.L. Pugh and Mickaela McDaniel; grandchildren, Joseph T. Pugh, Allison D. Pugh, Marshall C. Shaffer, Kaden S. Fitzgerald, Nova R. Armentrout, Ryder L.W. Edwards, Aleeah N. Pugh, and Dakota B. Straub; siblings, Tammy S. Bandy and husband, William P. Bandy, Jr., and step-sister, Emily Watson-McNeely. He is also survived by nieces, Samantha S. Bandy and husband, William L. Lephew, and Katelin Watson; many great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins; and other special family, Kortnie Staton and daughter, Kelli.
