Lander Odell Harrison

Lander Odell Harrison suddenly passed from this life on September 5, 2011. Born in Prince George, Virginia, he was the son of the late Olander and Cora Harrison. He was baptized at the Providence Baptist church at an early age and was an active worker in the congregation holding several positions including junior deacon, junior usher board member and junior superintendent of the churchs Sunday School. For the last six years he was actively involved in the Salem Church of Christ. He leaves to treasure his memory, his wife, Donna; two daughters, April Harrison and Ashley Harrison,; one step daughter, Karen Johnson (George); two step sons, Mark Reese (Trista), and Steve Reese (Margie); two sisters, Barbara Patrick (Edward) and Wanda Blake (Ray); six grandchildren, Kelsey and Nick Johnson, Hunter and Griff Reese and Bailey and Oliver Reese; three nieces, Robin Rosser (Nate), Benita Cabbler (Ron), and Edlita Patrick; two nephews Ray Blake, Jr. and Jeff Blake; four uncles Edward Harrison (Bettie), Roosevelt Harrison, Junius Brown and Leander Matthews; two aunts Bertha Roach and Ethel Jackson; and a host of cousins, other relatives and devoted friends. Funeral services will be held at 12PM, Friday, September 9, 2011 at the Salem Church of Christ. Rev. Eric Evans will officiate. Burial will follow at Sherwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8PM, Thursday at John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home.
