L. Jayson Gaines

L. Jayson Gaines, 33, of Salem and formerly of Covington, passed away unexpectedly due to a tragic accident on Monday, March 26, 2012. Jayson was a devoted husband and father who enjoyed music as well as working on cars and trucks. He was employed by New Millennium Steel in Salem. His surviving family includes his parents, Carrie Eugene and Linda McCulley Gaines; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Dennis Michael and Robyn Diane Morgan; wife of 7 years, Sara Elizabeth Gaines; 4-year-old daughter, Morgan Elizabeth Gaines; siblings, Teresa Spangler, David Gaines, Helena Hubble, and Yvonne Gaines; and many other special family members. A period of visitation will be held on Thursday, March 29, 2012 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the John M. Oakey & Son Chapel in Salem. A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 30, 2012 at 11 a.m., also in the funeral homes chapel. Interment will be private. Online condolences may be expressed at www.johnmoakey.com.
