Kitty Louise Richardson, 82 of Elliston, Va., passed away suddenly on February 8, 2026.

Born February 7, 1944, in Charleston, West Virginia to the late Louis and Eva Carlson, she is also preceded in death by her sons, Robert Richardson and Brian Richardson; daughter, Shannon Dotson; and sister, Joyce Ann Isner.

Kitty loved life and was full of sass. Her greatest joys were spending time with her family, working in her flower beds, going to yard sales and cooking.

Those left to cherish her memory are her love of 52 years, John Mills; daughter, Tia Seagraves and husband, Kenny of Anawalt, W. Va., granddaughter, Courtney Richardson of Johnson City Tenn., great grandchildren, Bradley Belcher of Anawalt, W.Va., Josiah Richardson of Johnson City, Tenn., and special beloved great granddaughters, Maggie and Willow McCray of Elliston, Va.; special friend and partner in crime, Tammy Mills of Elliston, Va.; nieces, Toni Larson and husband, Mark of Rigby, Idaho, Joni Isner and partner, Lisa of Ashburn, Va.,, Lyndsey Mills and her children, Ruby Mills, Breshai Mills, Jordyn Holland, and Khymani Holland of Salem, Va.; nephews, Richard Isner and wife, Missy of Roanoke Va., and Andy Mills and wife, Tammy of Elliston Va.; grandnieces, Cary Newman and husband, Jesse of Roanoke Va., Vanessa Richmond her husband, JR and their children, Caleb and Waylon, Chelsey Hedge and children, John, Avery, and Sophie; and grandnephews, Jacob Boone and James Hedge.

Per Kitty's wishes, she will be cremated and a memorial service will be held on a later date.

Lastly, keeping in line with Kitty's spunk, Kenny says, "Save me some hay over there, Jack!" Her spunk and loving heart will be missed by all who were blessed to know her.
