Kevin Lee Reynolds

Kevin Lee Reynolds, age 54, of Salem, Va. was called home on Thursday, August 2, 2018. He was born on Tuesday, July 28, 1964. Kevin had a smile that could light up a room and he was loved by everyone. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree as well as a Master of Business Administration. He enjoyed all sports and was an avid Virginia Tech Hokie football fan. His love for sports led him to become a referee for many sports, but his favorite was football. Kevin served our country faithfully having a 22-year career in the United States Navy attaining the rank of Chief Petty Officer and continued his civil service through the Department of Veteran Affairs. Kevin attended Fellowship Community Church. He is preceded in death by his father, Corbin M. Reynolds, IV. Those left to cherish his memory include his children, Christopher L. Reynolds and wife, Heather, and Kayla M. Reynolds; mother, Joyce Shell and special friend Willie Wilhelm; he was Grandpa to Averie Poorman, and Garren Riley; brothers, Tim Reynolds, and Kenny Reynolds and wife, Lisa; sister, Susan Holmgren and husband, John; half-sisters, Theresa Keister, and Kathy Reynolds; he is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. A funeral service to celebrate Kevins life will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, August 8, 2018 at the John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home with Pastor Ken Nienke officiating. Burial will follow at Sherwood Memorial Park in Salem, Va. Friends may visit with the family at the funeral home from 6 8 p.m. on Tuesday, August 7, 2018.
