Kevin John 'Jay' Mcmahon Jr.

Kevin John McMahon, Jr. (Jay), 37, of Salem, Va., passed away Friday, October 31, 2014. He was born November 18, 1976 in Danbury, Ct., to his parents, Patricia Opp McMahon and Kevin J. McMahon, Sr. of Salem. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Leonard and Anne Ratchford McMahon, and Richard and Ruth O'Connor Opp, Jr. Jay grew up in Salem and graduated from Salem High School in 1995. Jay went on to attend Appalachian State, Roanoke College and received an Associates degree from ECPI in Roanoke. Jay was a very loving son, caring brother, doting uncle, and generous neighbor. In addition to his parents Jay is survived by his brother, Shawn L. McMahon and wife, Callie Griggs McMahon, and their daughters Natalie and Macy; aunts and uncles, Joseph and Anne (Robin) McMahon Scanlan, Brian and Diana Leonard McMahon, R. Dana and Cheval Force Opp, III, and Elizabeth Deady Opp Roth; cousins and extended family. A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, November 6, 2014 at 11 a.m., at Covenant Presbyterian Church.
