Kevin Wayne Cook

Kevin Wayne Cook, 42, of Roanoke and formerly of Blue Ridge, passed away Friday, July 29, 2022, peacefully at home from his four-year battle with cancer. Kevin is survived by his parents, Earl and Susan Cook; brother, Shannon Cook; sister, Jessica Reedy (Nick); nephews, Nicholas, Seth and Easton, and his niece, NiKayla. Kevin was employed at Allsports Caf in Salem for 14 years. He was a big 49ers and UVA fan. He loved the beach, playing cornhole, and listening to his favorite music by Pink Floyd, Bob Marley, and others. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends, and coworkers. A special thank you to Dr. Fintel and Pam Price at Blue Ridge Cancer Center, Dr. Gaughan and the pain management team at UVA Cancer Center, and to Melissa and Medi Home Health & Hospice. We will celebrate Kevins life on Saturday, August 6, 2022, at John M. Oakey & Son Funeral home in Salem. Visitation will begin at 2PM with a service following at 3PM.
