She was a proud daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, and friend to all in her life. She was the volleyball captain at Andrew Lewis High School as well a very proud member of the Girl Scouts of America. She loved to decorate the house, making sure every flower in the yard was perfect each season. Her love for living her life to the fullest was infectious as she was always surrounded by loved ones. Having cookouts, going to the lake or beach, and her love for decorating for Christmas were some of her favorite things in life. Her love for the music (her favorite being The Beatles) was passed down to all of us to continue to share. She will be loved and deeply missed by all who knew her in her life.
A period of visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 15, 2014 from 6 to 8 p.m. in the John M. Oakey & Son Chapel in Salem. Bright are the stars that shine, dark is the sky. I know this love of mine will never die. And I love her -The Beatles.
