Kathleen Brugh Hale

Kathleen Brugh Hale, 91, of Salem, passed away on Thursday, December 14, 2017. Preceding her in death were her parents, E.O. and Kitty Brugh. Her surviving family includes her children, Sue Hale, Roger Hale and wife, Barbara, and Cathy Davis and husband, Tim; brothers, Henry and Bill Brugh; grandchildren, Teresa Byers, Laura Hale, Ashley Hale, Michelle Alonzo, and Rebecca Hammond; and great-granddaughters, Amelia and Elsie Byers. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, December 17, 2017, at the John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home in Salem. A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Monday, December 18, 2017, at Hillcrest Cemetery in Blue Ridge. In lieu of flowers, charitable contributions may be made to the American Breast Cancer Foundation at 10400 Little Patuxent Parkway Suite 480 in Columbia, Md. 21044.
