Kathleen Cumbie Alls

Kathleen Cumbie Alls, 76 of Salem, VA went home to be with the Lord on Monday, October 31, 2011 with her very loving family by her side. She was born in Montgomery County, VA on July 12, 1935 daughter of the late Gilbert and Vernie Breeden Cumbie. She was also preceded in death by a son, Roger Lee Alls; great-grandson, Grayson Cornette; and several siblings. Mrs. Alls was a loyal employee of Skyline Cleaners for over 50 years. Kathleen was a loving mother and precious MawMaw. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, James Richard Alls; daughters, Neida Greer, Patricia Alls and Norma Alls; granddaughters, Angela Cornette and husband, Jamee and Chasity Greer; great-grand children, Lilian Cornette and Hunter Chrisley; special niece and friend, Rebecca Bunny Price; numerous nieces and nephews. Special thank you to family friends, Donna and Rachel Murphy. She will be terribly missed but her legacy of love and family live on in those left behind. Graveside funeral services will be conducted at 12 noon on Thursday, November 3, 2011 at East Hill Cemetery, Salem with Evangelist Jamee Cornette officiating. The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening from 6 to 7 pm at John M. Oakey and Son, Salem and at the family home at any other times. 540-389-5441
