Karen Lorraine Mason

Karen Lorraine Mason, 85, of Catawba, Va., passed away on June 13, 2026, at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital.

Karen was known for her strong work ethic, but her first priority was her love of animals, especially for her dogs and horses.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Charles Daniel and Gladys Lorraine Baker Mason; and her partner, Lou.

Her surviving family includes her cousins, Victoria Sherman in Clearwater Fla., Becky Layne in Ashland Ky., and many other cousins in Ohio.

Special appreciation is extended to The Springs Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Hot Springs, Va., for the excellent care given to Karen.

Karen's wish was to have no service, so please remember her in your own special way.
