Judy Mills Shaver

Judy Mills Shaver, 70, of Salem, went home to be with the Lord on June 15, 2021, from her home in Salem. She was born on October 21, 1950, in Roanoke, Virginia, daughter of the late Herman Mills of Salem and Doris Argabright Duncan of Roanoke. Family remaining to cherish her memory includes her husband of 54 years, Donald William Shaver (Donnie); daughter, Lisa Shaver DeWeese (John), of Salem; son, Charles Randall Shaver of Roanoke; sister-in-law Diane Shaver of Roanoke; her grandkids who she loved so dearly, Danielle DeWeese of Elliston, Shane DeWeese of Jefferson City TN, Noah Shaver of Roanoke, Caleb Shaver of Roanoke, Micah Shaver of Roanoke, and Olwyn Shaver. Judy also leaves behind two special nieces who she loved like her own, Michelle Hogan Begley and Christie Hogan, and two nephews, Chris Cook and Michael Hogan. Prior to retiring, Judy was employed with the Blue Ridge Behavioral Health with many years of service. She loved being with her family most of all and taking trips with Donnie. Her dog Wickett was her baby. She was always crafting and loved to read. Judy never met a stranger and loved so many. She was a very giving and caring wife, mom, grandmother, and friend. In addition to her parents, Judy was preceded in death by two sisters, Sandy Rowland and Teresa Argabright.
