Judith Thompson Young

Judith (Judy) Thompson Young, 79, of Salem, Va., passed away on Thursday, August 6, 2020. Judy was born in 1941 to the late Dewey and Cassie Thompson in Bland County, Va. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by four brothers, Gene, Junior, Butch, and Jimmy Thompson; two sons, Steven and Jeff Young; and her husband, Kenny Young. Her surviving family includes her special son, Kevin W. Young; stepson, Cam Young and his wife, LeeAnn; grandchildren, Josh Young, Trent Young, and Merritt Young; very special friend who was like a daughter, Karin Smith; daughter-in-law, Missy Young; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 15, 2020, at Sherwood Memorial Park in Salem, Va.
