Judith Anne Robertson Jeter passed away on February 7, 2024, at the age of 76, after a courageous battle with cancer and surrounded by her family and friends. Born in Roanoke, Virginia on August 31, 1947, to the late Ed and Sheila Robertson, Judy was one of four siblings with a very large extended family that allowed her to grow up with many aunts, uncles, and cousins all nearby. She is also preceded in death by her sisters, Susan Robertson and Jane Smith, as well as a nephew, Scott Robertson. The family moved to Cheraw, South Carolina when Judy was a child where she attended and graduated from Cheraw High School in 1965. After graduation, Judy began her career working for the City of Roanoke where she remained for 37.5 years before retiring. Judy was a loving mother, Memaw, sister, and friend who treasured her loved ones. She was strong-willed, had an enormous heart, and a wonderful sense of humor. She was also generous, loyal, and brave. Judy was a fighter with an unbreakable spirit. Her strength knew no bounds and she will forever be remembered for her fearless attitude. As a woman of faith, Judy loved her church and church family at Lynn Haven Baptist Church where she was a member for 51 years. She served as a Preschool Sunday school teacher, secretary, and treasurer, as well. Judy was part of the Southeast Blind Bowling Association for over 45 years. She served as secretary for many years, as well as assisting participants with travel, driving, and bowling. Judy treasured her bowling family and had many fond memories that she spoke of often. Judy cherished her family and friends and could often be found in her flower gardens, working puzzles, traveling, and helping others. She adored spending time with her grandchildren and loved every moment she got to spend with them. Judy also loved the beach and spent much of her time by the water with her family. We are certain she is on the beach now reunited with many members of her beloved family. Judy is survived by her daughters, Traci Coffey and husband, Mike, and Danielle Tonjes and husband, Marty; grandchildren, BellaGrace and Easton Tonjes; brother, Tom Robertson and wife, Sue; several nieces, as well as her beloved dog, Sadie Jane and cat, PollyAnna.
