Joyce Childress Clements

Joyce Ann Childress Clements, 73, of Salem, and formerly Christiansburg, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 8, 2012. She was born October 17, 1938, a daughter of the late Paul and Nancy Pamplin Childress and had been an area resident all of her life. She enjoyed crocheting and fishing, and mostly enjoyed spending time and doting on her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Buddy Childress. She is survived by her daughter, Linda Dempsey and her husband Mike; grandson Paul Curtis Tyree and his companion Christin Smith; two great-grandchildren, Dylan and Justin Tyree; a brother, Paul Childress and his wife JoAnn; a sister, Nancy Marshall and her husband Phillip; a sister-in-law, Diane Childress, and numerous nieces and nephews.
