Joseph Lee Wimmer, 89, of Salem, Va., passed away on Monday, October 14, 2024.
Joe worked for Roanoke Gas Company as a service technician for many years. He was an avid hunter, and loved to play pranks on others.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Raymond Randolph and LaRue Alma Lucas Wimmer; and brother, Edward Wimmer.
His surviving family includes his children, Darlene J. Wimmer Weaver and husband, Mike, and Jeffrey Lee Wimmer; sister, Trudy Gresham and husband, Jimmy; nephew, Michael Wimmer and wife, Kimberly; and many other family members and friends.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, October 18, 2024, at Sherwood Memorial Park.
