Jones Clayton 'Dick' Allred Jr.

Jones Clayton (Dick) Allred, Jr., 82, of Salem, VA passed away Wednesday August 20, 2014. He was born July 11, 1932 in Rocky Mount, VA a son of the late Jones Clayton Allred, Sr. and Dorothy Walker Young Allred. He was also preceded in death by his brother, James Morton Allred. Mr. Allred was a disabled US Army Veteran, retired Insurance Investigator, a member of the NRA, was an avid hunter and fisherman, and one of the biggest Hokie Fans. He enjoyed life. He is survived by his children, Richard Clayton Allred and wife Rebekah, Malinda Sue Turner, Felicia Alene Allred, Allyson Riddle-Owens and husband James, and James Stacey Allred; and five grandchildren, Brent Turner, Aaron Turner, Ethan Turner, Austin Riddle and Allyn Riddle. Memorial services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Tuesday, August 26, 2014 at the chapel of John M. Oakey and Son. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Tuesday.Visitation
