Johnny David Sage, 57, of Salem, left this world to watch over his family from Heaven on Thursday, June 27, 2013. He leaves behind his dad, James William Sage Sr.; best friend, and wife of 32 years, Bonnie Mae Sage; children and their spouses, Jennifer and husband, John; Michael, Misty and her husband, Michael, Kay and husband Timmy, and David Brown; his adored grandchildren, Katie and Adam Waldron; Shawn, Cameron, Isaiah, Jasmine and Cheyanne Brown; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Joanie and husband, Spanky, Jackie and husband, Joe, Janet and husband, Jimmy; and a host of other family members along with a lot of friends including his friends from the mill and the farm, he didnt know a stranger and every where he went he made a friend, to know him was to love him. He graduated from Shawsville High School in 1975 and worked at Big Spring Mills for 30 years. A memorial service to honor the life of Johnny David Sage will be held on Saturday, June 29, 2013 at 3:00 PM in the Chapel of John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home and Crematory, 305 Roanoke Blvd. Salem, 540-389-5441 with Rev. Ben B.
