John W. Overstreet, III, 49, of Roanoke, passed away Saturday, July 2, 2016. John was preceded in death by his parents, Frances and John W., Jr.; and his aunt, who was like a second mother, Pauline Crook. He is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Ricky and Sharon Aldridge; nieces and nephews, Harley, Lauren, Billy, and Austin Aldridge; and best friend of 35 years, Debbie Shelor. Per Johns wishes his ashes will be placed in the Bailey family plot with no formal service. The Overstreet family is being served by John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home and Crematory, Salem, 540-389-5441.
