John F. Hodge

John (Buddy) F. Hodge, 84, of Salem, passed away on Friday, June 29, 2012. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betsy Hodge; son, Rodney Hodge; granddaughter, Christina Shepherd; and several brothers and sisters. His surviving family includes his children, Johnny Johnston, Carol Johnson, Andrew Hodge and wife, Maria, Angie Barrett and husband, Willie, and Kenny Hodge; sister, Agnes Statzer; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews; and special pet, Willie. The family will receive friends on both Sunday and Monday evenings, July 1 and 2, 2012, from 6 to 8 p.m. in the John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home in Salem. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 3, 2012 at 11 a.m. at the CommUNITY Church in Salem. Interment will follow at Cedar Lawn Cemetery in Roanoke. Pastor Tom McCracken and Rev.
