John Michael "Mike" Carey

John Michael (Mike) Carey, 75, of Roanoke, Va., entered a new life on Saturday, November 21, 2020. Mike was born in Washington, D.C., but was raised in Strongsville, Ohio as the oldest of four. He was a very giving and caring man who enjoyed his quiet time at home with his wife of 30 years and volunteering on the church campus. Mike was predeceased by his mother, Patricia; and father, Walter. His surviving family includes his loving wife, Carol Carey; stepdaughter, Tammy Carter; granddaughters, Alexis (Madison) and Madelyn, all of Roanoke, Va.; siblings, Mark, Jane, and Kimberly, all of Ohio; and many nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, November 25, 2020, at New Covenant Assembly of God located at 2992 King Street in Roanoke, Va. 24012.
