JoAnn Huffman

A dear friend, JoAnn Cobler Huffman, passed away on Tuesday, December 2, 2025. She was 86 years old.

JoAnn was funny, smart, and never forgot anything. She lived at Honeysuckle Cottage at Richfield, where her room was fixed up just like her apartment. JoAnn loved her CNAs and nurses dearly, and she found joy in playing bingo and going to the dances.

She is survived by a brother, Donald C. Cobler and his wife, Nora Ann of South Carolina; her son, Kevin Huffman and granddaughter, Olivia of Florida; one cousin and husband Jimmie of Salem, Va.; several cousins and their families in the surrounding area; and a special friend Lois Ann Perdue, who lovingly adopted JoAnn into her own family.

A service to honor JoAnn's life will be held on Sunday, December 7, 2025, at 3:00 p.m, in the chapel of John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home & Crematory. Friends are warmly invited for a period of visitation from 1:00 p.m. until the hour of the service. A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 8, 2025, at Evergreen Burial Park.
