Jimmie David Arthur

Jimmie David Arthur, 75, of Salem, passed away on Friday, July 1, 2022. Born in Roanoke, Virginia, to the late George Junior and Gracie Mae Witt Arthur, Jimmie enlisted in the United States Marine Corps after finishing high school; he was proud of his service and sacrifice to his country. Following his military service, he earned certification and licensure as an electrician. He will be remembered as a simple man who worked hard to provide for his family. He will be dearly missed. He is survived by his wife, Linda Arthur, children, Janet and Keith Hall, Jennifer and Tommy Callahan, Jeremy and Star Arthur, Jason Arthur; step-sons Eddie and Barbara Clowser and Chris and Stephanie Clowser, as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A graveside service, with military honors, will be conducted on Wednesday, July 6, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at Cedar Lawn Memorial Park with Chaplain Ben Mewald officiating.
