Jessie Wayne Wooldridge

Jessie Wayne Wooldridge, 73, of Salem, Va., passed away on Monday, January 29, 2024. He was born on August 6, 1950, in Roanoke, Va. From 1970 to 1972, he proudly served in the U.S. Navy, held the rank of an L4/E as an Assault Boat Engineer, and was awarded the National Defense Service Medal. He loved NASCAR and rebuilding classic cars in his spare time. Preceding him in death were his parents, John E. and Minnie Sue Wooldridge; brothers, Lewis, Eddie, and Ray Wooldridge; and sisters, Ora Mae Arnold and Glenna Hogan. His surviving family includes his children, Anthony Wooldridge and his wife, Meredith, and Jason Wooldridge and his wife, Jennifer; sister, Wanda Overstreet and her husband, David; numerous nieces and nephews; and may special friends.
