Jessica Darling Dickson

In June of 2019, Jessica Darling Dickson passed away at the age of 30. Jessica was born on June 28, 1988, in Roanoke, Va., to Jacqueline Dickson and James Jimi Cash, and was raised by her loving grandparents, Jack and Peggy Memaw Dickson, all who preceded her in death. She is survived by her aunt, Samantha Roaquin and husband, Primo; her aunt, Michelle Kaiser; her uncle, Eric Dickson; her uncle, Larry Dickson and wife, Marci; special cousins, Erica Howell and Jamie Dickson; numerous other cousins; grandparents, Jack Cash, Dita Shelor, and Mike Jones; great-grandmother, Yhome Murphy; mother-in-law, Rhonda Cheatwood; as well as the family she created through her many beloved friends. Jessica cared deeply for her friends and was a very nurturing person, going out of her way to help others in any way she could, despite having a hard life of her own. She was bubbly, bright, funny, and truly one of a kind. She loved cats, especially the Babe, her tuxedo bobtail cat, who she had a special and magical bond with for many years. Jessica was charming and mischievous, and made new friends everywhere she went. Special friends include Maria Collette, Krista Cedergren, Ian Stroud, Devon Taylor, Lindsey Baumoel, Amanda Anderson, Hanna Hall, Matt Bridger, Holly and Elaine Baldacci, Erica Bostic, Traci Clark, and many others as well as Kory Bishop who tragically preceded her in death. Jessica was missing for nearly 2 years before she was found in February of 2021. She was beautiful inside and out, and was taken from us too soon. She will be greatly missed.
