Jesse Lee Smith

Jesse Lee Smith, 81, of Salem, passed away on Friday, January 22, 2016. Jesse was retired from Chesapeake Packing after 40 years. He was a loyal husband and great father. He loved sports and taught his kids and grandkids the sports he loved. Preceding him in death was his daughter, Linda Ann Hall; and 2 brothers. His surviving family includes his wife, Mary Smith; daughters, Nancy Johnson and Bonnie Morris; sons, Roger Smith and Mario Smith and wife, Diana; 14 grandkids; 16 great-grandkids; 2 sisters; and lots of nieces, nephews, and friends. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, January 28, 2016 at the John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home.
