Jena Morris

Jena Morris, 50, of Salem, Va, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 13, 2022. Born to Paul and Judy Buskirk in Augusta, Georgia where she spent most of her childhood. Married to the love of her life Gary for 29 years, they enjoyed traveling together, especially their trips to Mexico. Jena took great joy in planning trips, making sure every detail was perfect. She would start planning the next trip while on vacation. In the evenings, she and Gary would sit on the back deck and talk about their day and just enjoy each others company. When not traveling Jena enjoyed cooking and crafting. Banana pudding pie was a family favorite and many would even ask her for the recipe. Jena enjoyed life and was a selfless individual. She would go to great lengths to make sure her family was happy, healthy, and well fed. Left to cherish in her memory includes her loving husband, Gary Morris; parents, Paul and Judy Buskirk; sons, Josh Morris, and Abram Morris; sisters, Dianna Medina, and Paula Marchildon; as well as her nieces and nephew. The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 16 from 5 pm until 6 pm in the chapel of John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home; a Celebration of Life service will begin directly after at 6 pm, with Pastor Ben Lockhart officiating.
