Jeffrey Allen
Hinchee
February 25, 1968 – April 18, 2026
Jeffrey Allen Hinchee, 58 of Salem, VA, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 18, 2026.
Born Sunday, February 25, 1968, in Salem, VA, to Luke and Linda Murphy Hinchee.
Jeff was a man whose greatest joy in life was spending time with his family, creating memories that will be treasured forever.
He loved to travel, but found peace and happiness at the beach, where the sound of waves and the warmth of the sun brought him comfort. A man of patience and creativity, he enjoyed building model airplanes, taking pride in every detail, and sharing that passion with those around him. His love for aviation extended to air shows, where he was captivated by the modern military jets in action, marveling at their high-energy performances.
He was also a devoted sports fan, especially when it came to basketball. A die-hard UNC fan, he cheered on his team with unwavering loyalty and enthusiasm. Whether watching a game or talking sports, his passion was contagious.
In quieter moments, he enjoyed diving into the worlds of Marvel and Star Wars, finding excitement and imagination. Those who knew him will remember his sense of enthusiasm, his laughter, and his ability to bring people together over shared interests.
Above all, he will be remembered for his love and devotion to family, warm smile, and cherished friendships. His family was his heart, and he made sure they knew it every single day. He leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories that will live on in all who knew him.
Preceding him in death are his grandparents, Juanita and Clyde Murphy of Sophia, WV, and Luther and Eunice Hinchee of Corrine, WV.
Those left to cherish his memory include the love of his life of almost 32 years and best friend, Ann Hinchee; daughters, Taylor Anderson (Matt), Allyson Hinchee (Reuben Raharja); granddaughter, Oaklynn Anderson; and sister, Missy Haugen (Jim).
