Jasper Calvin "Jay" Edwards Ii

Jasper Jay Edwards, II, 56, of Vinton, VA, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 2, 2022, in Salem. Jay was born on Wednesday, January 19, 1966. He was one of a kind and noted by his family and friends as one of the most loving humans you could ever want to meet. Jay would give a person the shirt off his back if it meant that person didnt go without, hed do anything for those he loved. He enjoyed watching what he called, FAKE football, a.k.a., soccer. Though he will be missed by all who knew him, he will be especially missed by his friends whom he considered his extended family at Valley Church where he and his family are members. He is preceded in death by his parents, Jasper Calvin Edwards, I, and Dorothy Evans Edwards; and his father-in-law, David Kelley. Left to cherish his precious memory include his loving wife of eight years, Melissa Edwards; fur-daughter, Kohana; mother-in-law, Nancy Kelley; brother-in-law, Jack Hamilton and wife, Teresa; special aunt, Barbara French. A celebration of his life will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 5, 2022, at Valley Church, 8100 Angel Lane, Roanoke, Virginia 24019, with Pastor Jason Cook officiating.
