James Melvin Wilhelm

James Melvin Wilhelm, 57, of Roanoke, went to be with the Lord Saturday, December 31, 2011. He was born January 28, 1954, a son of the late Melvin Wilhelm and Marie Wilhelm Coleman and was also preceded in death by a sister, Teresa Perdue. He is survived by his loving wife of 24 years, Vicky Sugar Wilhelm; three daughters, Chasity Clevinger, Angela Kingery and Crystal Hodges; a son Derek Hodges and his wife Chelli; a sister, Janice Bradley and her husband Ira; 14 wonderful grandchildren, Amber, Haley, Elizabeth, Cierra, Hunter, Kaitlin, Elijah, Jasmine, Brandon, Isaiah, Shala, Jacob, Koby and Madisyn; an uncle, Larry Wilhelm and his wife Eula Mae; numerous nieces and nephews, and many many special friends. Funeral services will be held at 2PM, Thursday, January 5, 2012 in the chapel of John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home. The Rev Roy Kanode will officiate. Burial will follow at Sherwood Memorial Park.
