James Paul Moore

James Paul Moore, 94, of Salem, passed away Monday, July 21, 2014. He was born February 7, 1920 in Henry, VA, to the late John Morton Moore and Mollie Bess Young Lineberger. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Norman Ralph Moore, Sr. and John Morton Moore. Mr. Moore grew up in Franklin County, VA. He lived in Chapel Hill, NC for many years, where he was an Optician with University Opticians. Upon retiring in 1965, Mr. Moore relocated to the Roanoke/Salem area. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Salem. Family left to cherish his memory include his brother, Edward Lineberger and wife Ann, of Allentown, PA.; half-sister, Linda Jones, of Glade Hill, VA; nephews, Norman Moore, Jr. and James Moore, both of Virginia, and Mark Lineberger and David Lineberger, both of Pennsylvania; and niece, Susan Lineberger Roses, of Massachusetts.
